Turning Japanese

The furiously elegant prints of Basso & Brooke's Spring Collection have dazzled their way on to my new backround.

The British boys have delivered yet another beautiful array of clothes in their latest catwalk show in London. As master printmakers, Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke have definitely used the up-and-coming colourful season to play to the best of their abilities.

Japanese was the name of this embroidering game with origami-like pleating and folding effects and over-embellishment with Swarovski crystals. The B&B models were sporting Raoudo Assaf's shoes and Stephen Jones' headpieces - chopsticks of course!

My favourite item had to be the simple shift dress which let the print do the talking.

Masters of the Orient? I think so.
