and i hope shipwrecked fashion is back.
i want bohemian again - prints, beads, feathers, chiffon, suede tassels.
these beautifuls have got me daydreaming of summer days on the beach.

rose-coloured glasses

For many, perfection is...
audrey hepburn.
sienna miller.
marilyn monroe.
kate moss, even. (why? i do not know.)
for me, however, perfection lies in the olsen twins.
and beyonce, im not gonna lie.
for now, however, here's a little of ashley & mary-kate on top fashion form ...

a little appreciation in prep for their first fashion show at nyfw.
how stunning is the white lace number ashley is wearing in the mirror image?
b-e-a-uutiful.

Site of the Month (0.1)

free shopping!

it's a dream come true.
i've just signed up to covertcandy, a website that allows you to swap your unused clothes with others, therefore gaining a brand new wardrobe without having to spend a penny!
it declutters your house and it's eco-friendly. genius.

my friend at mlle-milly.blogspot.com is where i discovered this amazing invention and she infact has a giveaway happening right now, courtesy of covertcandy.
happy clothes swapping!

chloe s/s 2010

"Nobody ever falls in love with you when you look great. It's a rule. The real ones love you when you are you." - Anjelica Huston
chloe spring/summer 10
it's the season of the nudes and no-one does natural better than chloe.
the picture above is so beautiful.
simple & effortless.

chloe spring/summer 10
i'm really not a fan of dressing like a male, but i love this reworked denim.
everything could potentially be wrong with this design : half-way high waisted jeans, barely there belt, done up shirt, sandals.
it could be hideous.
but chloe somehow makes everything elegant and feminine.

The Row at NYFW

yes, you heard right. :)

last tuesday, our beloved olsen twins announced that they will be putting on their first fashion show next month.

finally.
some actual fashion news.
style.com is constantly putting up 'hot fashion gossip'.
'lara stone is the new face of louis vuitton'.
err.. wahoo?
no.
this is exciting.

over the years mary-kate and ashley olsen have sucessfully weened themselves in among the circle of fashion elite, trascending from teen film stars to supreme fashion figures.
and i love them.

celebrity friends. books. awards. cover shoots. two clothing lines.
but as of yet, no fashion show.

therefore it's needless to say that immense pressure will be on the girls to deliver a stunning show.

so far, there has been no time or venue set in stone but it will definately be on the timetable for new york fashion week in february!

however, went on therow.com (beautiful website) to check out the s/s10 collection... and was shocked, to say the least.
quaint. artistic. but the model was grotesquely skinny.

is it a boy? is it a girl?

let's hope the models on the catwalk won't be so skeletal...
other than that, cannot wait!
:)

in the olsen's closet will be having a field day right now.

67th Golden Globes

4. kate hudson in marchesa

3. christina aguilera in versace

2. jennifer aniston in valentino

1. lady dior herself, marion cotillard, in christian dior

the nine cast dominated the red carpet (penelope cruz, kate hudson, nicole kidman etc.) but marion cotillard completely stole the night for me. or shall i say john galliano did.

stunning dress - glamorous, feminine, sexy.
not complete, of course, without a pair of jimmy choo black strappies. classic.

From New York with WANG

he's new.
he's talented.
he's adored.

scruffy side plaits

cut-away socks

this oriental genius has set the key trends for this season : scruffy locks & calf cleavage.
and it all costs next to nothing (you could easily make yourself a pair of those knee-highs)

shame about the shoes...
gross.

it's good to be back :)
